The Colors of Spring
(Daniel James)

One bright, sunny spring morning I was sitting outside meditating upon the Lord, admiring His handiwork. I saw the tall green grass and trees swaying in the wind as if praising their Maker. I watched the sunlight joyfully dancing before the Lord upon the waters in brilliant sparkles of radiance. Flower were budding and blooming, reaching up towards heaven with open finger-petals on outstretched arms of swaying green. I thought about what Jesus had said, that when the fig tree puts forth its leaves, you know summer is near. So also when we see the signs Jesus spoke about coming to pass, we know that His return is very near. All creation worships Him and points to His return that is just around the corner. The Bible says that the heavens and earth declare the glory of the Lord, and that everyone who does not believe is without excuse because of it. Believing in God is like opening your eyes for the first time—everything becomes more beautiful when you acknowledge Him and see His handiwork in all His created things. I hope that “The Colors of Spring” will inspire you to worship the one true God and Father who is Lord over all creation.
The Colors of spring
(Verse 1)
I love the colors of green
In the early months of spring
The handiwork of God
Inspires me to sing
(Chorus)
Sunlight dancin’ on the water
In vessels molded by the potter
Heaven’s glories all around
Creation making joyful sound
Tall grass dancin’ in the breeze
Peaceful swayin’ of the trees
I praise the God who gave us life
He holds us all together tight
While he paints the pretty colors of spring
(Verse 2)
The buds begin to grow
And the flowers start to bloom
Reminding me that God
Will be takin’ us home soon
(Repeat chorus)
